How does it work?
Ellansé (少女针) is not a just a volumiser it’s also a collagen stimulator.
It contains polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres, suspended in a natural CMC (carboxymethylcellulose) gel. The gel offers instant soft lift, but the real magic happens slowly, beneath the surface. Both materials are fully biodegradable and biocompatible — used safely in medicine for decades.
Over the following weeks and months, the PCL particles trigger your body’s own regenerative response, rebuilding collagen and restoring skin structure from within. This gradual lift creates natural-looking, long-lasting improvements in firmness, elasticity, and definition.
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers that create temporary volume, Ellansé works in two stages:
Immediate support from the CMC gel for subtle instant lift
Gradual regeneration as the PCL microspheres stimulate new collagen formation over 3+ months

The treatment is ideal for patients who have depleated volume who also require collagen stimulation. Results typically last 18–24 months, depending on the variant used (e.g. Ellansé M) and your unique collagen response. At Mediject we only use Ellanse M, and so expect the results to last 2+ years.

Treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes and is performed using microcannula techniques for optimal comfort and minimal downtime. Most patients resume daily activities straight after, with only minor swelling or tenderness that resolves quickly.
Ellansé is also a key treatment within our “collagen banking” protocols — a preventative approach to ageing that supports skin quality before visible signs of decline appear. For younger patients, this means stronger collagen, preserved structure, and skin that ages more slowly.
